A man stole a Houston Fire Department ambulance while firefighters were on a service call Thursday night.

"Officers tracked the ambulance to a fast food outlet where the driver was at the drive up ordering food with emergency lights," according to a tweet from the Houston Police Department.

When police arrived at the Jack in the Box, the man was in the drive-thru placing an order. The lights on the ambulance were still activated.

The man exited the ambulance and ran off and police later apprehended him.
